WHERE ARE WE?
We are located at the Yorkshire Museum of Farming, which is at Murton on the eastern side of York, close to the A64 York bypass
BY CAR

If you are coming from towards York from Leeds or Scarborough direction, follow the A64 York bypass, and follow the brown tourism signs for the Yorkshire Museum of Farming. The junction is also close to the 'Grimston Bar' Park and ride terminal. Exit the A64 at this junction and follow the signs for the A166 road to BRIDLINGTON. As soon as you are on the A166, take the first left (MURTON LANE) which is about 500 yards from the roundabout on the A64. Continue down Murton Lane for a further 500 Yards and the Yorkshire Museum of Farming is located on the left hand side of the road, opposite 'Clanceys' scrap yard.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
If you travel to York by train, it is possible to get to the museum via public transport, but unfortunately it isn't very convenient.
The best option for a weekend would be to catch First York bus number 10 service (Claret Line) and alight at 'Grimston Court" on Hull Road. The bus stop is approximately shown on this map below with a red dot.
Bus services are every hour on 20 minutes Mondays to Saturdays, and hourly on Sundays. It picks up in York City centre at Walmgate, Piccadilly, Rougier Street and the Railway Station.
An alternative to this is run by East Yorkshire Motor Services, route X46/47 York Railway Station to Hull and 744 York to Pocklington and Bridlington. These buses also stop at the bus stop above. These services are not as frequent, but on a Sunday, will add to the possibilities from York.
Once alighting at this bus stop, we are approximately 3/4mile walk. Follow the map above.
