BRITISH SUGAR YORK

This loco arrived on the railway in 1993, as was donated by the British Sugar corporation at York. Originally they had 2 locos, both the same as the one we have. The loco we have is their second loco, and didn't recieve as much use at the factory. The loco has had vacuum brakes added, so that it can be used in passenger service, and was re-dedicated 'British Sugar York' in 2000.

***This loco is currenlty is awaiting a replacement part for it's gearbox, which was stolen during a break in to our worksops in June.***
