NER 1214/2462

This is main passenger carriage, and is an 'original' NER carriage. The reason it has two different numbers is because it is built from two seperate carriages. Two halves were joined together onto a 'QPV' chassis to form what you see today. It has six comparments (although one end is converted to a saloon), as it would have had originally, but due to the 'QPV' chassis being slightly longer, there is an extra half compartment which is used by the guard, and it still contains the handbrake and emergency vacuum brake application handle. Pictures below show the finished product, plus how it came together.
