'RURAL RAILWAYS DAY'

This is our annual 'gala' event where we run a mixture of passenger trains, freight trains and mixed passenger trains to a varied timetable. Shunting demonstrations will also take place.

We will be using as many locomotives as are available for service on the day.

Passenger trains will start at 10am, and run every half hour throughout the day.

The locomotives hauling the passenger trains will be changed frequently throughout the day, and a mixture of diesel and steam hauled trains will be available. The steam loco will also be shunting and hauling the freight train.

The timetable for this event is still being formulated, and will appear here soon.

(Members of the public will not be able to ride on-board the freight trains)
