There is no charge for passengers on our trains, as we operate in partnership with the Yorkshire Museum of Farming. Once entry into the museum has been paid, train rides are free. Entry costs to the museum are as follows
ADULT : £4.50
CHILDREN : £2.50 (under 3's are free)
FAMILY: £12.00 ( two adults and up to four children)
CONCESSIONS: £3.50
TIMETABLE
We have recently introduced a timetable, and now trains run every half hour from 10am untill 12.30, then a lunch break. Trains then run at 13.30 untill 16.30.
Frequency maybe increased to every 20 minutes dependant upon demand. Journey time is approximately 10 minutes.
Diesel locomotives are normally used to haul the train, and any two of the serviceable diesels will be used. We have no facility to run around the train at the end of the line, so 'top and tail' operation is used. Steam hauled trains usually operate on Bank Holiday weekends, and the last Sunday of every month. If only one steam loco is available, then the train will be DIESEL hauled in one direction.
The list below also shows which loco's where used on which day. The first loco shown is at the east end of the train, the second loco is at the west end of the train.
Santa special train services operate throughout weekends in December. Times, dates and more information will be posted on this website when they become available.

As with any train service, failures occasionally happen and therefore all train services operate subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute diesel traction in the event of no steam loco being available.
